If you planned for decadent foods from morning until night, you’d probably start with oversized donuts and end with BBQ. Well, that’s exactly what Hill’s Donut Co. & Pancake House / 332 BBQ has on the menu.
I had the opportunity to visit twice recently, once for dinner and once for morning coffee. In advance of my first visit, I noticed that the google review score wasn’t as high as I would typically seek in a place I’m trying for the first time. But after two visits, I’d attribute that to growing pains. The establishment opened about six months ago in a space that has seen frequent turnover of businesses.
I visited first for dinner and ordered the brisket burger. This had to be one of the tastiest and richest burgers ever. Speaking of great burgers, sign up for their social media (https://www.facebook.com/322BBQDelaware) where they highlight a “burger of the week”. Your timeline will be flooded with mouthwatering reminders of why you must return.
The website didn’t make it clear whether they served beer and other alcoholic drinks, but it turns out they do and they have a bar area to the side of the restaurant. The high ceilings and corner location give the restaurant an open, comfortable feel.
But they are in the same shopping center as a favorite craft brew pub, Bellefonte Brewing Company. Bellefonte doesn’t have a kitchen and they welcome patrons bringing in food from other establishments. So, another option is to order your food and walk over to Bellefonte to enjoy the best of both worlds. This was the option my friend and I chose.
At breakfast time, I met a group there for coffee and service was attentive. Just a couple of tables were taken for breakfast. The spacious seating area and abundant natural light make this an attractive option.
I’ll definitely be back.
